This Privacy Notice describes how Netanza, operating the Media Forge service (Netanza) handles personal information in connection with the Media Forge API, account administration, billing, support, security, and website/service operations.
Media Forge is a private media-processing API. It is not a public media-hosting, publishing, social, discovery, recommendation, or distribution service. Customer media is processed at the Customer's direction to perform requested media operations.
Depending on how the Service is used, we may process:
account and business-contact information, such as name, business email, organization, role, and billing contact information;
authentication and security information, including client identifiers, credential status, access logs, IP addresses, timestamps, and security events;
service-operation information, including Job identifiers, requested operations, processing parameters, source/output metadata, runtime measurements, usage records, and error information;
billing and commercial information, including plan, entitlement, immutable usage events, pricing authority, invoice/payment status, and payment-provider references;
support, abuse, and legal communications; and
Customer Content only to the extent technically necessary to perform the processing requested by the Customer or to satisfy a specifically authorized support, security, abuse, or legal obligation.
We do not intentionally use Customer Content to train general-purpose machine-learning models.
We receive information directly from Customers, from authorized API requests, from systems involved in providing the Service, and from service providers acting on our behalf. We may also receive information from security, abuse, payment, or legal-process sources.
We use information to:
provide, secure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service;
authenticate users and enforce tenant isolation;
process Jobs and deliver requested outputs;
meter usage, administer entitlements, invoice, reconcile payments, and prevent billing fraud;
detect and respond to security incidents, abuse, credential compromise, and unlawful use;
provide customer support and operational communications;
comply with lawful obligations and valid legal process; and
improve reliability, performance, and product functionality using operational information that does not require repurposing Customer Content.
Customer Content remains under the Customer's control. Media Forge receives only the access necessary to perform the requested processing. The Service does not intentionally publish, index, curate, recommend, or make Customer Content publicly discoverable.
Where platform-managed storage is used for derived outputs, the current production lifecycle automatically deletes those outputs after 30 days, unless a legal preservation obligation requires otherwise. Outputs delivered to Customer-controlled storage are subject to the Customer's retention policy.
We may disclose information to:
infrastructure, payment, security, support, and other service providers acting for us under appropriate restrictions;
professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of relevant assets; and
government authorities or other parties when required by law, valid legal process, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or service security.
We do not sell Customer Content. We do not sell personal information for money. If applicable law defines "sale" or "sharing" more broadly, Netanza will evaluate and implement any required disclosures or controls before offering the Service to affected consumers in that jurisdiction.
Payment-card details are handled by the applicable payment provider rather than stored as raw card data by Media Forge. We may retain provider customer, subscription, invoice, payment, or event identifiers necessary for billing reconciliation and audit.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including service operation, security, billing, audit, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Platform-managed media-output retention is separately governed by the 30-day lifecycle described above.
Security, billing, and audit records may be retained longer than media payloads because they are needed to operate and defend the Service and generally do not contain the media payload itself.
Media Forge uses technical and organizational safeguards including authenticated access, tenant-scoped authority, least-privilege service identities, protected secrets, encrypted cloud services, audit records, controlled deployment, and bounded production access. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials, source systems, output destinations, and end-user data.
The Service may use cloud and service-provider infrastructure located in the United States and other locations where providers operate. Before offering the Service in a jurisdiction that requires specific international-transfer mechanisms, Netanza will implement the applicable contractual or transfer mechanism.
For Customer Content containing personal data that a business Customer controls, Netanza generally acts as a processor/service provider when processing that content solely on Customer instructions. The Data Processing Addendum provides the baseline processor terms for customers that require them.
For account administration, billing, security, fraud prevention, and Netanza's own legal obligations, Netanza may act as an independent controller/business as applicable.
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information. Requests concerning Customer Content should normally be directed to the Customer that controls the data. Netanza will assist Customers with processor obligations where required by the applicable DPA and law.
Direct requests concerning Netanza-controlled account or business-contact information may be sent to the contact address published on the Netanza Contact page.
The Service is a business API and is not directed to children. Customers may not use the Service in violation of laws protecting minors or to process unlawful child sexual exploitation material.
We may update this Privacy Notice prospectively. The current version and effective date should be published with any customer-facing service documentation once the legal entity and contact details are finalized.
